THE MOST-FUNDED KICKSTARTER FASHION PROJECT: THANKS TO YOU

As of 7pm CST, we are officially a fully-funded Kickstarter campaign — in fact, we’re the most funded fashion project in Kickstarter history. (Let’s pause for a collective “Wahoo!”)

Thanks to you 795 backers, we blew our $20,000 goal out of the water. We still haven’t fully been able to grasp just how well our project was received by friends and strangers alike — your support is simply overwhelming. click to read more

TOMORROW, EVERYTHING CHANGES: YOUR LAST CHANCE TO KICKSTART {r}evolution apparel

Tomorrow, at 7pm CST, everything changes.

Our Kickstarter ends, and our business really begins. We’ll be finishing our campaign as the most funded fashion project in Kickstarter history.

But before we begin our endless thank-you’s and celebrations via Skype, we’d like to ask one, final favor. click to read more

WHY OUR KICKSTARTER IS SUCCEEDING (AND WHAT WE COULD HAVE DONE BETTER)

In the past few weeks, our inboxes have been filled with emails from other entrepreneurs, getting ready to Kickstart their own projects.

Now that we’re 250 percent funded, people want to know: What makes a successful Kickstarter? click to read more

EXTREME “AMERICAN DREAM” MAKEOVER

Last week, I was on the set of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” in Bastrop, Texas. My friend’s best friend from high school is Tracy Hutson (the pretty, blonde interior designer on the show), and he thought she would love the idea of the Versalette.

So on a cold, rainy Sunday, I sat in Tracy’s trailer and told her about our project and our dreams of sustainable fashion and conscious consumption. click to read more

ON GOING GLOBAL: A NOTE TO OUR INTERNATIONAL FRIENDS

First, an apology…

HUGE apologies to those of you who have sent us emails through the contact form on our website. There was a technical issue that’s only recently been brought to our attention. We’re usually really good about replying to everyone, but never got those emails to begin with! Please resend to info@revolutionapparel.me and we promise to get back to you. We are incredibly sorry, and simply couldn’t apologize enough for this.

DO THE IMPOSSIBLE

Let’s be real, we know impossible.

Sourcing sustainable fabrics. Finding a suitable manufacturer. Designing an entire clothing line without having ever drawn a sketch.

But there’s no one who knows impossible quite like our friend, Joel Runyon. click to read more

Welcome to our  new blog! We’ve been spiffing it up over the last few weeks. Still a few kinks (“Older Posts” below isn’t working just yet) but we’re happy to have a permanent place for our blog to call home!)

——

By now, most of you know that we were in New York last week and attended the “Future of Fashion” event hosted by Be Social Change New York at Green Spaces NY. This is a re-cap of one of the most refreshing nights we’ve had in a long time. click to read more

14 DAYS AND $29,449 – THANKS TO YOU

At 3pm yesterday, I was hanging out with a good friend on the NYU Law campus. Shannon sent me a text saying, “Call me. ASAP.”

I was worried — we never use the word ASAP in our everyday language. So I called.

“I think we’re getting spammed. There have been a lot of backers just now, and all people we don’t know. Donating really big amounts. This could be really bad. I already emailed the people at Kickstarter.” click to read more
