HELP US CHOOSE COLORS FOR THE VERSALETTE!

We’re coming out of our post-Kickstarter holiday hibernation, slowly but surely.

There is so much to catch up on — a lot has happened in the last few weeks, and we’ll be writing about all of it soon. Kristin met with one of the partners we’re working with to discuss fabrics. We had a Kickstarter snafu that left us scared for a few days. And our insane plans for the New Year will certainly require a post (or two).

But for now, we need some advice.

This probably isn’t the way you’re “supposed” to do business, but here we are. In 24 hours, we’ve got to finalize our color selection for the Versalette. It’s been a lot of logistics work, and we didn’t end up with the color selection that we really wanted.

But that’s life — and we’re fortunate to have six colors available to us, with such a small order (by industry standards, of course!).

We are hoping to expand into more earth-toned colors (like that plum we had planned on getting, corals, mustardy yellows,  muted blues and greens, and of course black) in the future. For our first order, though, this is what we’ve got.

Let us know what you think — and what you would wear. You can comment below, or head over to Facebook to leave your thoughts!

It’s a good feeling to make these decisions together. We’re so appreciative, as always. {r}

    Definitely the aluminum for mine!

I am a big fan of mustardy yellows, though, so I fully support your interest in that color for future pieces! I think mustardy yellow and the aluminum color shown here would coordinate in an absolutely lovely way.

I was given the versalette as a present and am looking forward to it. I would have loved to get black, but I’m thinking that for me the aluminum may be the most useful. Looking forward to follow your journey.

I think they’re great! I’d probably wear the aluminum the most, so if I ordered just one, I’d go with that. The blue is gorgeous though, and I’d definitely be down with wearing that one too!

hey you guys it’s so exciting to see everything start to come together!
all of those colors look awesome so whatever happens in the end it’s bound to be great. I’m a fan of the green, aluminum, and white personally.
But honestly all of the colors seem great & I wouldn’t have a problem with any :)

Hey, the colors are not to bad. I totally agree that more earth toned colors would be nicer but hey for just starting out these are going to look great! My favorite is the aluminum mainly because I am on a huge grey kick right now!

Honestly, I won’t wear any of these colors. None of them would be remotely versatile with my earth toned wardrobe. :(

I totally understand that logistics don’t always work out just how you want, I just hope that your kickstarter supporters will have the choice to wait until your second order (or however many orders it takes to get the earth toned options) to receive our versalettes! I am really looking forward to mine, but I am willing to wait as long as it takes to make sure that mine is the perfect addition to my wardrobe!

Kate, we’ll definitely make sure to give an option to hold off until the perfect color is available for different wardrobes. I TOTALLY understand — and I’m also one of those people who doesn’t want to add something to my wardrobe that I don’t love + know I will wear all the time. So I have great respect for not settling when it comes to the right piece : ) Thanks for being patient – we’re bummed too but know it’ll work out!

Great, thank you! Now that the reward survey is out, what do I do to indicate that I want to hold out for a different color? Kickstarter won’t let me submit the form without choosing a color. Thanks again!

I really loved the natural color that was used in the pictures on the Kickstarter, but I’d probably go with White or Navy. Of all the color choices, those two are the ones that would look good, for me anyway, no matter which way I chose to wear them.

You know, I sort of agree with Kate! I was most excited for plum or black. So I would wait too, but, if I was forced to choose, probably aluminum.

Like I said to Kate — I completely understand the need to add the perfect piece to your wardrobe (colorwise + all!) and that is a really big part of how we dress as well! We’ll of course let anyone wait who wants to, and hopefully be able to get some of our top color picks in the mix sooner than later. Thanks for your patience : )

Navy! A good neutral. It won’t show dirt, suits a wide variety of people, can be paired with any accent colour. I love the blue and red too but are too limiting for travel. I can’t wear earth tones easily so I hope future choices won’t be all earthy.

I think you could find buyers for all of the colors. The answer below reflects what I would personally buy and wear. If you have to pick one, I think the Aluminum would suit the most potential buyers.

    Aluminum-Yes
    Navy-Yes
    Red-Maybe
    Green-Maybe
    White-No
    Blue-No

If you have the opportunity to add to your colors, I would love to see something like a purple or fuschia.
